Engineered for Outstanding Oil Filtration Efficiency
Multiply the cleanliness of your engine. Adds life to the oil while in older motors it removes sludge more effectively than oil changes can do.
AMSOIL Ea By-Pass Oil Filters provide maximum filtration protection against wear and oil degradation. Working in conjunction with the engine’s full-flow oil filter, AMSOIL Ea By-Pass Filters operate by filtering oil on a “partial-flow” basis. They draw approximately 10 percent of the oil pump’s capacity at any one time and trap the extremely small, wear-causing contaminants that full-flow filters can’t remove. AMSOIL Ea By-Pass Filters typically filter all of the oil in the system several times an hour, so the engine continuously receives analytically clean oil.
Higher Efficiency
AMSOIL Bypass Oil Filters have an efficiency of 98.7 percent at two microns. At normal operating RPM Ea By-Pass Filters will filter all of the oil in a typical five-quart sump in less than 10 minutes. Removes all the particles known to reduce engine life.
The superior construction of AMSOIL Ea By-Pass Filters provides better sealing and increased longevity along with superior corrosion resistance.
AMSOIL Ea By-Pass Filters have a marine powder-coated exterior, and their zinc-dichromate base plates increase rust protection. Ea By-Pass Filters feature a nitrile HNBR gasket, an orange silicone anti-drain valve and two-stage pleated and layered cellulose/full-synthetic media.
Longer Lasting
When used in conjunction with AMSOIL motor oil and an AMSOIL Ea or Donaldson® Endurance™ Full-Flow Oil Filter, Ea By-Pass Filters should be changed every other full-flow filter change up to 60,000 miles. When used with other brands of motor oil or full-flow filters, Ea By-Pass Filters should be changed every other full-flow filter change. AMSOIL recommends using oil analysis when extending oil drain intervals.

The increased fluid system capacity and filtration life provides improved oil cooling and ensures that equipment constantly runs on clean oil. Engine efficiency is increased, providing extended engine life.
Soot Removal
AMSOIL has designed a high-efficiency by-pass filter element that is also a soot removal device. AMSOIL Ea By-Pass Filters use a synthetic/cellulose sandwiched media. The inner layer of the element is composed of a highly efficient cellulose media covered with a full-synthetic media outer layer. According to ISO 23556 testing, Ea By-Pass Filters remove 39 percent of soot contaminants less than one micron. Soot removal efficiency increases approximately 10 to 14 percent when an Ea By-Pass Filter is used in conjunction with a standard full-flow filter.

APPLICATIONS
AMSOIL EaBP120 is not interchangeable with EaBP90, EaBP100, and EaBP110. Only EaBP90, EaBP100, and EaBP110 bypass filters are interchangeable.
One of the more popular bypass oil filter kits to check out is the BMK21. It’s one of the single universal kits you can add on to just about anything. In most situations you are accessing a port with oil pressure which could be a “T” on your pressure sending unit, then returning to the block, fill tube cap or other choices.
Bypass filter system Customer Reviews
Great filters
By MATTHEW, a Verified Buyer on February 19, 2025
I purchased this bypass oil filter system so I can have the ease of going to my local store to buy the filters. Everything seems great so far I would recommend to anyone. I will be purchasing another one for my fleet trucks
Worth Every Penny

I installed a bypass filter on my 150 HP generator that I use for running a pivot sprinkler and water pump, historically I would have to change the oil (AMSOIL 15W-40) every 250 hours I had run on it; per the oil analysis (Blackstone). for the second year in a row where I exceeded 600 hours on the oil and the analysis has recommended I go another 70-100 hours before checking it again or changing the oil because it looked so good. This filter does only have a 1 year warranty, so I will be changing it at least once a year but it has paid for itself in the first two years and then some.
Worked sense 2000

I have used the dual filter system on 3 Tow Vehicles since 2000, and have never had an oil problem. One of the vehicles now has over 200,000 miles on it now, and still going strong.
Made a believer out of me!

My 2003 Dixie Chopper lawn mower came with a BP90 Amsoil bypass filter. The mower is 21 years old and runs as good as when it was new. I feel like the bypass filter has saved me a lot of money in not having to by a new motor or mower because of a worn motor!
Three Tow Trucks Loves These Products
By PERRY, a Verified Buyer from Gatlinburg, TN on May 08, 2024
I have had the Dual Filter system on 3 GMC Pickups that towed my 10,000 pound Airstream all over all the Lower 48, most of the Canadian Provences, two summers in Alaska, and two summers in Newfoundland. For several years I always sent oil off for testing when I changed the oil at the end of the year, and never got a report stating I needed to change the oil. I no longer send oil off for testing, and have never had a problem. I Chang the full floe filter twice per year, and the Bypass filter once per year, and always use the top quality Amsoil at the time. My last two trucks have been DuraMax Diesels, one of them now owned by a friend now has over 200,000 miles on it, and still pulls his travel trailer all over. It still follows my oil change program, I supply the oil and filters for the truck.
Cummins 6.7 bypass oil filter
By RICHARD, a Verified Buyer from Texas on April 09, 2024
What a difference this has made in the oil quality. 2 microns vs. 20 microns of filtration makes a huge difference. With the cost of oil and filters today this will allow me to extend my change intervals. I should have the return on the investment in 2 oil changes, not to mention the overall protection of my engine.
Worth the money any day

Great bypass oil filter kit, simple install, definitely recommend for anyone wanting to get more life out of their oil and truck.
Bypass filter set up sturdier than expected and easy install
By CHRIS, a Verified Buyer from Boston on March 13, 2024
Put a super charger on my car and just thought the best oil for my engine would be a good idea. Tried it on a whim and the install only took a few hours. Was concerned about introducing leaks to the oil system but the unit is so stout and of such high quality, there are no issues at all. Just make sure you order the right adapter and right filters for that set up. I was sure I had it right from the chart but after I emailed Amsoil they clarified the correct adapter. You do not use the normal cars oil filter anymore. You use larger and better filters that fit the bypass system. You oil is being constantly cleaned by the low micron bypass filter, really good. I would recommend getting the sample tap off valve just so you can easily check the oil. Time to change the oil, let be check, WOW completely golden brand new looking oil when I pull if off the tap. Just really nice to see how well the system is. When I do decide to change the oil, that still golden oil is great for all my yard machines; Lawn mower, compressor, edger, snow blower, etc. I had the oil tested and they asked why I was testing new oil. No breakdown of the oil at all. If you want to protect your engine and keep your expensive synthetic oil clean this is the way to go. The oil does not really breakdown, it just gets dirty with the abrasive carbon blow by. If you are thinking about a bypass filter this is the way to go.
