AMSOIL Now Is Team O’Neil Rally School’s Oil Supplier
Real cars, real roads, real fast.
Those are the words that Team O’Neil Marketing Manager Karl Stone used to sum up the world of rally racing.
Real cars? Rally cars must be street legal. Real roads? Cars must be street legal because drivers race through forests, mountains and farmland instead of around an enclosed track. Real fast? Well, it is racing, people.
Team O’Neil Rally School’s Official Oil
As part of our partnership with Team O’Neil, AMSOIL is the school’s official lubricant partner. In addition to Official Oil status, AMSOIL will provide oil for the school’s fleet of rally and support vehicles. By the way – the Ford Fiesta ST’s are awesome if you never driven one!
Team O’Neil Rally School is located in Dalton, N.H. on 583 acres of alpine terrain. Course offerings include rally, winter-safe, off-road and security driving for individuals, private companies and government agencies. With more than 50 different types of corners, six-plus miles of roads, blind crests and junctions, students are exposed to situations they may encounter in the real rally world. Students range from automotive enthusiasts to racers. Past students include well-known racing extremists like Ken Block and Travis Pastrana.
Tough oil for tough conditions
Team O’Neil’s location in New England means these cars face everything from sub-zero cold in winter to blistering heat in summer. Plus, drivers constantly push their vehicles to the edge, meaning they require the highest-quality synthetic lubricants. That’s why the Team turned to AMSOIL.
“Our mechanics and technicians, who boast more than 20 years of experience in rally driving, made it clear that AMSOIL was a partner we needed to pursue to ensure we deliver for our customers.”

Along with our Official Oil partnership with the American Rally Association, Team O’Neil helped facilitate the New England Forest Rally on the East Coast this past weekend. As a major facilitator of the event, the school handles logistics, which includes everything from printing spectator guides to storing signage. Their involvement ensures the rally remains in the New England area.
They spool up the turbos keeping them clean with the Signature Series 5W-30. Less volatility lessening the vapors and just like the crank, turbo bearings float under load unlike the “full” synthetics which have rough ends on the hydrocarbon chains causing coking deposits. AMSOIL gives you not only the advantage but the pleasure of the performance you notice in all classes of driving.
But none of this would be possible without volunteers. More than 250 volunteers show up to help with the rally. Besides Team O’Neil, the New England Forest Rally is a volunteer-run event.
“These hearty souls spend countless hours in the woods battling pterodactyl-sized Maine flies so rally cars can bomb through the forest.”

“Without the help of the volunteers and land owners, this event would not be possible,” said Team O’Neil Marketing manager Karl Stone. “Volunteers pay for their own travel and lodging and sometimes sit out in the woods for the better part of the day.”
